The Election

As a member of the Board are you elected for one year at a time between July 1st and June 30th and is responsible for the association as a unit. The Board’s main task is to manage the operations of Föreningen Ekonomerna, and is the highest decision-making body between the association meetings. Furthermore, the Board is in charge of making sure that the economic and accounting procedures are managed and followed properly.

The application for the Board of 19/20 is now open and available until the 15th of March. You apply by emailing election@foreningenekonomerna.se with your resume and personal letter. After that will the members in the election committee reach back to you with further information and to set a date for an interview.

The recruitment process require you as an applicant to do several personality tests and a formal interview in order for us to get to know you more. After that you will present yourself during the Association meeting (Sunday, april 7th) in front of the Association. During this meeting all the applicants will present themselves, and furthermore be questioned and argue why they should be elected to their position of choice. The election will later end with a voting where the attendance of the meeting will be the ones to decide the new members of the new Board 19/20.

We also recommend you to contact any board member if you want to know more about what the role includes and how their everyday work life looks like.

As the President have you the ultimate responsibility of the organization, making sure it operates in accordance with its strategic goals. The role is also leading the Board as chief of staff. Daily duties include e.g. summoning and coordinating Board meetings and representing the Association externally.

The position includes two roles; as the Vice President, you work on strategic development of the Association. You are also responsible to relieve the President of their duties when necessary and represent our Association externally. As the Head of Education, you work to improve and develop the quality of education and student influence, representing the students of Stockholm Business School towards the school, the Faculty of Social Sciences and the University.

The 2nd Vice President together with the Head of Internal Communications utmost responsibilities is to handle the internal communication and the overall strategic planning. Moreover, the 2nd Vice President discuss student benefits, integration of the Association and the operational management of the organization. The role is also responsible for the Operational Management Group and contact person for the Welcoming Program, Fadderiet.

The treasurer's role is to handle the day-to-day work for the financials of the association as a whole. This is done along with the Vice Treasurer. The main areas of responsibility lays in guiding and approving budgets from project leaders within different projects and handling the accounting on a daily basis for all transactions made by, or in the name of, the association. Furthermore has the sole responsibility for the transactions made by the Asset Management Group.

The of Head of International Affairs role has the ultimate responsibility for the Association’s international contacts. Moreover, you wilI work strategically with the Board, as well as with the International Committee and the Master’s Club. You will also have responsibilities within the Welcoming programs, both for the bachelor and master students, and foremost to international students.

Preeminently responsible for the association's external communication. Managing all social media accounts and working strategically with our visibility, mostly through social medias and merchandise. Main contact for the Marketing Committee. This along with working with strategic projects.

Ultimately responsible for the association's contact to the business world and any external communication. Along with establishing the contact and continuing with corporate agreements. Main contact for three committees; Business Committee, Finance Society and Entrepreneur Club. Along with working with strategic projects.

The Head of IT is  responsible for the membership system and any questions regarding it, functioning and maintenance of the website as well as the physical IT environment. Main contact for the IT Committee, along with working with strategic projects.
