Within investment banking, our Global Markets team acts as a trusted partner to external clients, such as corporates, financial institutions, and asset managers, offering expertise in research, investment and risk solutions, execution, and prime services. Our Equities & Derivatives department integrates all of Société Générale’s capabilities in equities, offering flexible and innovative solutions for cash execution, equity finance, exotic derivatives, and structured products.
Our goal is to provide solutions that are tailored to our clients’ investment strategies and current market conditions. With a global presence and 24/7 service, our clients can rely on the capabilities of our sales and traders, as well as our financial engineers, to meet their needs.
Mission:
As a valued member of the equity derivatives and the financing sales teams, you will play an important role in all aspects of the sales process. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and to contribute to the business with your unique skills and talents. With your analytical skills, interest in financial markets, and strong social abilities, you will have the chance to grow and develop during your time at Société Générale. Through continuous, hands-on training, you will gain knowledge and experience in a variety of exciting and challenging subjects. Upon completion of your traineeship, you may be offered various opportunities within the company, both in Sweden and internationally.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Be an integral part of the entire sales process
- Interact with key internal stakeholders, such as trading, structuring, legal, middle office and back-office teams in Paris and London
- Start developing relations to clients across the Nordics
- Take the initial steps to becoming a professional in the financial markets
PROFILE REQUIRED
Studies & experience:
- Bachelor/Master in Finance, Economics or Engineering
- Prior experience is not required but would be an asset
Language skills:
- Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish – advanced level
- English – advanced level
- French and other languages would be considered a plus
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Some market knowledge and potentially experience in Investment banking/ financial services industry
- Strong numerical and literacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic Python skills is a plus
- A team player who proactively shares information and collaborates with others
- Highly motivated, proactive and entrepreneurial
- Reliable professional conduct
- Ability to take ownership and drive tasks to completion
- Demonstrate high level of trust and professionalism in relationship building
