Education Committee

We act as the bridge between Föreningen Ekonomerna and SBS, NEK, and STAT departments, working to ensure that students have a high-quality education and a strong voice at the university. Through Educational Surveillance, our Student Representatives evaluate courses, collect student feedback, and collaborate directly with the departments to improve the student experience.

Get involved in exciting projects as a Project Leader, leading and organizing initiatives, or participate as a member of Föreningen Ekonomerna. Psst! All members participate in our Monthly Education Committee Meetings.

Along the way, you will develop valuable skills, expand your network, and earn up to 3 extra points towards your semester abroad application.

Get Engaged

To become part of the Education Committee and engage you can always contact us via email (ec@foreningenekonomerna.se) or via social media. We recruit at the start of each semester and look for Student Representatives as well as Project Leaders and Members. There is the chance to join after the recruitment phase as well.

Projects

We have various projects that we hold during each semester. During the Spring Semester we have Speak Up Week, Ballerina Award, Excel Course, and Future Leader Summit. In the Fall Semester we hold GMAT/GRE Course, Excel Course, and Let’s Debate.

Why is the Education Committee Important?

In the Education Committee, we work very closely with SBS to make every student’s educational experience the best it can be. We want students to be able to make their voices heard and be engaged. Moreover, we make Föreningen Ekonomerna a Union through our Educational Surveillance.

What are Student Representatives?

Student Representatives speak up for and represent their fellow students’ opinions at SBS and present them at meetings in order to be able to bring them forward. They also represent the Education Committee and they should be able to share ideas and bring education and student life forward. They have meetings with their study director every two months.

Benefits

By joining the Education Committee you can receive up to three extra points for your semester abroad and have the chance to enhance your education and student life as well as make new friends.
