Education Committee
We are the bridge between Föreningen Ekonomerna and SBS and make sure that your education and student life are the best possible. Through Educational Surveillance our Student Representatives make us a Union by evaluating courses. We offer projects where you can participate and improve your skills. Being a Project Leader or Member gives you the opportunity to organise projects. All Members participate in our Monthly Education Committee Meetings and gain 3 extra points for a semester abroad.
How can I get engaged?
To become part of the Education Committee and engage you can always contact us via email (ec@foreningenekonomerna.se) or via social media. We recruit at the start of each semester and look for Student Representatives as well as Project Leaders and Members. There is the chance to join after the recruitment phase as well.
What projects do you have?
We have various projects that we hold during each semester. During the Spring Semester we have Speak Up Week, Ballerina Award, Excel Course, and Future Leader Summit. In the Fall Semester we hold GMAT/GRE Course, Excel Course, and Let’s Debate.
Why is the Education Committee important?
In the Education Committee, we work very closely with SBS to make every student’s educational experience the best it can be. We want students to be able to make their voices heard and be engaged. Moreover, we make Föreningen Ekonomerna a Union through our Educational Surveillance.
What are Student Representatives?
As a Student Representative, you speak up for your fellow students and represent them at our Monthly Education Meetings. In the beginning of each course, you will present yourself to the students and lecturers. Furthermore, you will have meetings with your study director every second month to talk about your courses.
What are the benefits of joining the Committee?
By joining the Education Committee you receive three extra points for your semester abroad and have the chance to enhance your education and student life as well as make new friends.
